Forgot to mention that I am eagerly looking forward to City Winery show on August 19. Had a great time not too long ago at same venue when David appeared with Jorma Kaukkonen (the "alter kocker" show as David dubbed it).

2/28/77 Tufts University (not Tuft's). Unbelievable show -- still remember it to this day. Someone ran up to the stage during the first song, gave David a fifth of Jack Daniels, which he used to play slide guitar during the show, by the end of which the bottle was drained. Played both "Sloppy Drunk" and "Bullfrog Blues" in the same set, along with "Will Not Be Your Fool", "Come Into My Kitchen" and many other classics. One of the best concerts I have ever been to.

The first Bromberg show I ever saw is not listed here! It was at the Academy of Music in NYC, 4/14/1974. David's band opened for the New Riders. There were 2 shows that night (I went to the late show). David had a guy in the band named Bob Gurland, who played "mouth trumpet", and he also sat in with the Riders that night on 3 tunes (Take a Letter, Maria, Honky Tonk Women & Nadine). I confirmed the date by searching the NRPS concert archives, where there's a note regarding the Gurland sit-in.

David - I think the 12/6/77 gig in Sacramento was the Oasis Ballroom show. I'd nearly worn out my Demon In Disguise record by that time! Lookin' forward to seeing you in SF if I heard the clue right on the hardly strictly teaser.
